Built to accommodate the growing need for additional living space due to its admirable amenities and scenic location on the Rock River in Janesville, the Cedar Crest retirement community speaks for itself in excellence and quality of life.

Considerations such as resident well-being, activities within a connected facility, and maximizing the independence of residents drove the design of the facility renovation and addition. Upgrading interior finishes to reflect this vibrant community and creating a new library and resident amenities area in the existing building enhanced an already thriving establishment, which was then coupled with the addition of a new two-story 24-unit independent living apartment building with heated underground resident parking and ample storage lockers to complete this premier facility.

Corridors were relit, circulation between buildings was evaluated, the existing HVAC system was replaces with a more efficient system, and fire protection was assessed for the safety of the residents in the existing facility. In the 24-unit addition, desirable interior finish options, various luxurious apartment floor plan options, and individual air conditioning control within each unit creates the freedom of independent living within the comfort of a community setting.
