Structural Designer

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Designer to join our team. You’ll contribute to the design and analysis of commercial building projects across a wide range of sectors, including civic/government, community recreation & wellness, education, healthcare, hospitality, housing, industrial, office, and retail.

Have a project type you’re passionate about? We’ll connect you with opportunities in that space. Curious about new design technologies? We’ll bring them into our next innovation workshop. Want to pursue further education? We’ll help cover the costs. Whatever your goals, we’ll give you the resources and support to achieve them.

We are hiring for our Madison, Janesville, Rockford, and Brookfield offices.

Position Details & Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design for commercial building projects using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood systems.
Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction documents in compliance with IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, and other applicable standards.
Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients throughout all project phases.
Assist with feasibility studies, and value engineering as needed.
Conduct site visits and inspections to confirm existing conditions and observe construction progress.

Here’s What We’re Looking For
2+ years of structural building design experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (ETABS, RISA, SAP2000, RAM, or similar).
Working knowledge of Revit.
Solid understanding of building codes, construction materials, and methods.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Electrical Designer

We are currently looking to add an Electrical Designer/ Engineer to our growing team. The role is focused on designing building electrical systems, coordination, and delivering our clients efficient buildings that meet their present and future needs.

This includes: the ability to communicate effectively, manage schedules, coordinate with the engineering and architectural departments for a cohesive drawing package, and assist with construction administration including working with contractors, site visits, and observations reports.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering with an electrical emphasis.

Plumbing Designer

We are currently looking to add a Plumbing Designer to our growing team. The role is focused on designing plumbing systems for various building types, from concept to completion.

This includes: converting system design concepts into specific layouts by utilizing information outlined from our clients while providing our expertise. The candidate will be required to perform necessary calculations to size piping, and system components for a fully integrated plumbing design. A fundamental knowledge of plumbing codes, and plumbing / piping systems is required.

The ideal candidate will have one of the following backgrounds: a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong interest in plumbing design, a licensed plumber seeking to transition into a design-focused role, or an experienced plumbing designer.

Civil / Landscape Designer

We are currently looking to add a Civil Designer/ Engineer to our growing team. The role is focused on site, stormwater, and erosion design.

This includes: development of design concepts, calculations and reports, producing effective and high-quality drawings and specifications, and supporting projects throughout construction as they progress.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and 5+ years of professional experience. We are also looking for someone who has experience designing utilities and grading with either AutoCAD/Civil 3D or MicroStation/InRoads.

Marketing Coordinator

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the firm’s day-to-day marketing efforts. This individual will play a key role in supporting business development initiatives, maintaining our brand, and showcasing the exceptional work our team delivers.

What You’ll Do

As our Marketing Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for managing and coordinating a wide variety of marketing initiatives, including:
Coordinate and prepare Requests for Information (RFIs), Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), and proposal packages.
Create, update, and maintain marketing collateral including brochures, project sheets, presentations, resumes, and promotional materials.
Maintain and update the company website using WordPress, ensuring content remains current and engaging.
Coordinate the collection, organization, and management of project photography for use in marketing materials, award submissions, proposals, and social media.
Plan, create, and schedule content across social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
Assist with the development and execution of marketing campaigns that promote Angus-Young’s services, projects, and culture.
Support business development efforts by maintaining marketing databases, project information, and client qualifications.
Coordinate award submissions, project profiles, and industry recognition opportunities.
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications.
Assist with internal communications, employee announcements, recruiting materials, and company events.
Track marketing initiatives and recommend ideas to improve visibility and engagement.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field (preferred).
2+ years of marketing experience preferred (AEC industry experience is a plus).
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign and Photoshop. Illustrator is a plus.
Experience maintaining websites using WordPress.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Experience managing business social media accounts.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Creative mindset with an eye for design, branding, and storytelling.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
