We are currently looking to add a Mechanical HVAC Designer to our growing team. The role is focused on designing building mechanical HVAC systems, coordination, and delivering our clients efficient buildings that meet their present and future needs.

This includes: the ability to communicate effectively, manage schedules, coordinate with the engineering and architectural departments for a cohesive drawing package, and assist with construction administration including working with contractors, site visits, and observations reports.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Designer / Engineer to join our team. You’ll contribute to the design and analysis of commercial building projects across a wide range of sectors, including civic/government, community recreation & wellness, education, healthcare, hospitality, housing, industrial, office, and retail.

We are hiring for our Madison, Janesville, and Rockford offices.

Position Details & Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for commercial building projects using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood systems.
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction documents in compliance with IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, and other applicable standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients throughout all project phases.
  • Assist with feasibility studies, and value engineering as needed.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to confirm existing conditions and observe construction progress.

Here’s What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of structural building design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (ETABS, RISA, SAP2000, RAM, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of Revit.
  • Solid understanding of building codes, construction materials, and methods.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
