Beloit College Pearsons Hall

Pearsons Hall is a Romanesque Revival science building constructed in 1892 and a historically significant landmark on the Beloit College campus, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This project focused on the renovation and adaptive reuse of portions of the School of Business, thoughtfully balancing modern functionality with the preservation of the building’s architectural character. The scope included seven new enclosed offices, four new gender‑neutral, ADA‑compliant toilet rooms, and the enclosure of the former Moore Lounge with glass walls and ceilings to improve circulation and spatial clarity. A new concrete ramp at the northeast corner establishes an ADA‑compliant academic entrance, providing universal access while respecting the historic fabric of the structure.
