Angus-Young worked closely with Matt and Andrea Van Nest, owners of Longtable Beer Café to design a casual combination café, bottle shop and tasting room located in downtown Middleton.

The design features communal seating throughout, ambient lighting, brick walls, concrete floors and other raw materials including metal and wood. The bar and ordering counter was designed to be clean and simple to not distract from the 18’ long bottle cooler which also serves as a unique design element. The majority of the windows and walls fully open to the outside which is meant to help bring the outdoors in as well as allowing the communal vibe of the space to flow right outside to the patio.

The name “Longtable” was derived from the custom 23’ long table made from reclaimed Wisconsin barn wood, which sits in the middle of the café, seating a total of 22 people.
