MacDon Enterprises builds high-performance harvesting equipment for the agricultural industry. When they were ready to grow their US presence, they needed a facility that could support both their engineering team and their hands-on fabrication work. The result is a 15,992-square-foot Research and Development facility in Sun Prairie, purpose-built to supplement their Winnipeg headquarters and give their US operations a home base.

The building balances office and fabrication space under one roof, with daylighting and exterior views keeping the work environment from feeling closed off. The site was planned with large equipment movement in mind, and the design kept the two sides of the business, the desk work and the shop floor, well connected throughout.
