City of Franklin Fire Stations No. 2 and No. 3

The City of Franklin’s Fire Stations No. 2 and No. 3 were designed together to maintain architectural consistency while responding to their individual sites and neighborhoods. Station No. 2 on South 60th Street emphasizes quick response with drive-through apparatus bays and an industrial character that fits the surrounding area. It includes three apparatus bays, work and storage areas, and living quarters for continuous service. Station No. 3 on West Drexel Avenue was modeled after Station No. 2 with modifications to complement its more residential setting.
Station No. 3 includes a three-bay apparatus bay, maintenance and storage rooms, turnout gear room, EMS clean and storage rooms, kitchen, dining and dayroom, laundry and reception areas, sleeping quarters, officer offices, exercise room, toilet and shower facilities, and offices. Both stations were built with durable materials and efficient layouts that prioritize firefighter health, safety, and operational readiness.
