Riverbend Beef Processing

Beef processing facilities operate across many stages, each with its own equipment, utility, and safety requirements. For the Riverbend Beef Processing Facility in Idaho Falls, Angus-Young provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering for a new 167,000-square-foot processing facility and administrative offices. The work required a thorough understanding of each stage of the operation before a single system could be designed. Air, water, drainage, and the dense network of piping and conduits that tie it all together were coordinated carefully to support both efficiency and safety on the production floor.
Food safety and occupant health added another layer of complexity to the project. Surfaces needed to be cleanable and washable, water usage was high, and every system had to perform reliably in a demanding environment. The result is a facility engineered to meet the operational goals of the client without compromising on safety, productivity, or long-term function.
