Architect/ Project Manager

Angus-Young Associates is a leading architectural, engineering and interior design firm with an excellent opportunity for a talented, ambitious architect with good people skills to join our Madison office.

The essential responsibilities of this position include design and project management of a variety of building types. Ability to work in a professional working environment and manage projects from programming through completion of construction. Design experience, good written and verbal communication skills, professional registration or the ability to obtain registration is desired, but not required.  Experience with the use of Revit and SketchUp is preferred.  Due to the collaborative nature of our projects, communication and teamwork skills are essential; initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision are integral to success.

Angus-Young Associates is a leading architectural, engineering and interior design firm with an excellent opportunity for a talented, ambitious mechanical (HVAC) engineer with good people skills to join the Janesville or Madison office.

The essential responsibilities of this position include determining client’s HVAC needs, development of system concepts, design calculations, equipment selection and specification, cost analysis, and collaboration with the design team.  The position offers excellent professional development/advancement opportunities. Qualifications include BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (HVAC emphasis), proficiency in Microsoft Office, and good written and verbal communication skills. Professional Engineering license required with 8 years of experience.  Compensation includes wage commensurate with education, experience and abilities and excellent benefits package.

Administrative Assistant

Angus Young Associates is looking for a highly energetic person to join the team in our Janesville, WI location. The Administrative Assistant role provides support to our architectural and engineering team ensuring effective and smooth running of the day to day operations including answering our multi-line phone system and coordination of educational learning units for the professional staff.

This challenging position will suit a candidate with a can-do attitude, self-motivated with great communication skills, possesses an eye for detail, is well organized, has a willingness to learn, professional approach, and is looking for a career in an office environment. Proficient in Microsoft programs preferred.

Other duties include:

  • Scheduling weekly brown bag luncheons with vendors and staff
  • Special event planning and organization
  • Greeting clients and visitors to our office
  • Maintaining daily sign out sheets for business vehicles and staff
  • Distributing mail and packages

Civil Designer

Angus-Young Associates is a leading architectural, engineering and interior design firm with an excellent opportunity for a talented, ambitious civil designer with good people skills to join the Janesville or Madison office.

The essential responsibilities of this position include development of design concepts, site utility design, stormwater and erosion control design and calculations and reports, producing effective and high quality drawings and specifications, and supporting projects throughout construction as they progress. Due to the collaborative nature of our projects, communication and teamwork skills are essential; initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision are integral to success. Minimum requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering and experience designing utilities and grading with either AutoCAD/Civil 3D or Microstation/InRoads.  EIT certification preferred.
