Angus-Young worked with North Central Health Care on a comprehensive redevelopment of the Wausau campus – including renovation of care unit buildings original to the 1971 campus design. Renovations for ‘D-Wing’ included a central supply and employee entrance, with new receiving docks and medical supply storage to support the new 4-story nursing tower. The design of ‘D-Wing’ included a first floor crisis stabilization unit (complete anti-ligature design) and administrative support. First floor renovations also included the addition of a sally port, intake area, and crisis call center. The second floor of the building was renovated to two CBRF units with central, enclosed nursing station and support.
