This project consisted of an interior renovation that transformed a former sports bar into Genisa; an Italian restaurant and wine bar. This project was created as a way to honor the owner’s late mother, Genisa, along with the Italian side of the family’s heritage.

The restaurant features a wine display feature in the center of the space, dark wood tones with an elegant tile wall, a chef table experience at the pizza bar, and a large outdoor patio connected with sliding glass doors. Original limestone walls were exposed during construction, and quickly became a feature. All the food is prepared in a authentic Italian tiled “brick oven.”

This project was a historic preservation of the existing 3-story building, that was built in 1865. The basement and first floor is Genisa, while the second floor is an event space catered by Genisa, and the third floor is a luxury apartment.
