Architecture Angus Young AEI offers a complete line of architectural, interior design and engineering services to the clients. We believe that a quality design requires a mix of talent, knowledge and communication as well as proper analysis and decision making by both the architect and the owner. Providing these characteristics, along with generating the lines of communication required to create a successful project is the most important part of our effort. Through this process of detailed design development, Angus Young AEI has achieved less design changes during the construction document and construction phases, thus maintaining both design and construction budgets. Our staff consists of five registered architects, designer and four intern architects with over 85 years of combined experience. Interior Design We also offer interior design services. Whether you need assistance in selection of color pallets and final finishes; or whether we may assist in selection and acquisition of furniture, art, plantings and other accessories; our interior design personnel are available. Our design staff provides talent, knowledge and experience to implement your interior design needs. Engineering Our staff of in-house engineers provide the firm with heating, ventilation and air-conditioning design, plumbing, electrical, lighting, communications and structural engineering services. Including the engineering team in the project from the start provides our clients with better systems fully integrated into the design of the building. Clients can indicate their goals for initial cost, energy efficiency, maintenance requirements, and complexity of controls to define the type and ultimate costs of systems. Communication, computer, alarm, warning, lightning protection and other electrical and state-of-the-art systems may also be developed and included in the building package. Lighting design for aesthetic effectiveness, function balanced with cost considerations are also provided by Angus-Young Associates. Computer Capabilities Through Angus Young's efforts to provide the best possible product to our client's we strive to stay at the forefront of computer technology. We are completely dedicated to the use of computers not only for the production of quality construction documents, but all aspects of our profession including design, cost estimating and project management. Angus Young AEI's computer system includes 24 networked work stations and twenty full CADD stations utilizing Microstation CADD software, the most recent available. Use and conversion to most CADD systems is available. Additional software includes AutoCadd 14, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Wordperfect, QuatroPro, ProComm and Aterm modems, a customized timesheet/project management database and a custom cost-estimating program to better serve the clients.
